AGGIES ON THE ICE

Last Updated January 10, 2000

Traveling to Antarctica is an exciting, once-in-a-life time experience that provides an opportunity to observe diverse and unique animals and magnificent landscapes. It is also an opportunity to conduct research in one of the most challenging and arguably most pristine environments still remaining on the planet.  The Geochemical and Environmental Research Group (GERG) of Texas A&M University deployed a scientific party to study the terrestrial, marine, and ice environment around McMurdo Station, Antarctica to document human impacts on the region.
