| Gyre reached Station MT4 which was 1402 meters in depth, at 20:10 GMT on June 15, 2000. Sampling with the CTD, boxcores, and underwater digital camera was completed at 5:03 GMT on June 16, 2000. We were unable to deploy the trawl net and returned to the Station MT4 upon the completion of all the sampling at Station MT1. On June 18, 2000 we trawled the bottom for 45 minutes and the attached picture shows a selection of organisms captured with the trawl net. |
