Gyre arrived on Station S37 at 3:02 GMT on June 13, 2000 and we completed all sampling at 22:43 GMT on June 13, 2000. The boxcores at this 2370 meter deep station all consisted of soft mud. The underwater digital camera captured many images including the attached picture (A) of a feeding brittle star. The trawl brought up numerous sea stars and sea cucmbers but only a few fish. The attached picture (B) is of a shrimp (Plesiopenaeus) from the trawl.
